GenC is the standard fresher track, with a package reported to be around ₹4 LPA. GenC Elevate is a selective track for students with stronger coding skills, reported to be around ₹6.75 LPA. GenC Elevate requires clearing a harder coding round during the selection process. Both tracks go through the same initial GenC test. Please verify current figures with Cognizant.
Cognizant conducts a mix of on-campus drives (at partner colleges) and off-campus drives (open to all students). You can apply off-campus through Cognizant's careers portal or through the iAspire or AMCAT platforms. Being from a non-partner college does not automatically disqualify you.
The GenC test consists of a quantitative aptitude section, a logical reasoning section, a verbal ability section, and a coding section (2 problems in C, Java, or Python). Total duration is approximately 90-100 minutes. The test is conducted on the iAspire or Mettl platform depending on the cohort.
